1 - How will my site be measured for Interior Designing?

Interior Designers may use different methods to measure a site for the purpose of space design. Some Common methods are mentioned below :-


Using a Measurement Tape: Tape is a simple tool for measuring dimensions like length breath and height of walls , windows, kitchen slab and other features in the space.

Using Laser Measurement: It’s used to measure the distance between two points. Its is a very useful tool for measuring irregular spaces or measuring space which is unable to reach easily.

Using Floor Plan: Interior Designers will create a detailed floor plan of the space which is drafted in drawing that shows dimensions and layout of the space. The floor can be created using Autocad software or by hand.

4 - Can I have a meeting at my home?

Yes, but there are certain fees ranging from INR 2,000 to INR 5,000 or more depending on the location and scope of the project. Fees would be utilised in travelling and lodging of the team who would come to meet you and Later on it would be waived off on the final payment of the project if the client agrees to proceed.  If your chosen interior designer has an office near your site, the service may be free in some cases

Warranty of products depends on terms of warranty provided by the manufacturer or supplier. You must review the terms carefully of all products  provided in an interior design project to understand what is covered and how long.

However most products come with a manufacturer warranty which covers defects in material and workmanship.
